I wanted a story recording that my elementary school students could listen to and imitate in order to improve their own oral reading, and what Mr. Roberts delivered was perfect. He has a story-reading voice that is gentle and yet full of expression, and I think my students will enjoy listening to it.

Derek Roberts is a Canadian voice over talent and has most recently provided voice over for Tangerine bank, Tesco, Habitat for Humanity and Northern Health. He is known for his fun, conversational, and interactive voice that brings feeling off the page for corporate e learnings and trainings, and his calm and soothing voice for audiobooks and narrations.
Theatre Actor by training, Derek is a graduate of the Fanshawe Theatre Arts program of 2012 in London Ontario. In Voiceover Derek has been trained by the legendary voice over coach Elley Ray. In addition to the craft Derek has over 10 years of corporate call center customer service experience primarily in the financial services sector.
When not behind the Mic, Derek is passionate and heavily involved in the Theatre Arts community in London Ontario. Most recently Derek was casted with Troubadour Theatre Collective as Capulet in Romeo and Juliet, London Fringe Festival Lost Soul Stroll as Edwin Smith, and Studio B ‘s production of Norm Foster’s The Melville Boys as Lee Melville.
